- Goodrich Oaks Architecture (formerly Goodrich Architecture) began in 2002. We design spaces that inspire, endure, and elevate the communities they serve. Based in Wilmington, NC, we are a full-service architectural firm committed to thoughtful design, practical innovation, and client-focused solutions. From commercial developments to residential projects, our work reflects a balance of creativity and functionality—guided by strong values and a deep respect for place.

- The firm is licensed in several states including North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia. Both Mr. Goodrich and Mr. Oaks are certified members of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and full members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
H. Blair Goodrich, AIA, who serves as President, moved to Wilmington in 1992 and has been practicing architecture ever since. Mr. Goodrich attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1986. He received his Architectural Registration in 1995 and shortly thereafter co-founded Pearce Goodrich Architecture. In 2002, Goodrich Architecture was incorporated and continued serving Southeast NC and the surrounding areas. Mr. Goodrich partnered with Mr. Oaks forming Goodrich Oaks Architecture in 2022. He enjoys serving the community through the Wilmington Kiwanis Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern NC in both membership and leadership capacities.
Adam J. Oaks, AIA, who serves as Vice-President, is a native to Wilmington, NC. In 2001, he was hired by Pearce Goodrich Architecture through an apprenticeship program with New Hanover High School. When Goodrich Architecture was formed in 2002, he continued with Mr. Goodrich as a draftsman/designer. Mr. Oaks attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and graduated with a BA in Studio Art in 2006. He received his Masters of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2011. After more than 20 years with Goodrich, Mr. Oaks co-founded Goodrich Oaks Architecture.
